Challenges in Today's Business Environment (Part 1)

It has been another great month in the year of 2019. So far so good. Everything seems to be on track despite all the hurdles and challenges that has been thrown into. Cuma saya nak cakap sikit berkenaan persaingan perniagaan sekarang.

This is clearly evident when I was at a mall few weeks back with my colleagues where we decided to buy some stuff for our fieldwork. From what I could see and observe, the mall had lots of empty shops and not to mention the one that is about to close real soon, since they had this moving-out sale to its customers.

Sad but true, more people are turning their backs to e-commerce aka Lazada, Shoppee, 11th Street and lots more. People are getting conscious about how and where to spend their money, thus they tend to but stuff online because they are relatively cheaper and more convenient that going to stores to buy the same things. 

This is how "disruptive technology" are shaping our future because it basically makes our lives easier to manage. Sebab itu, kedai yang tak laku akan tutup tapi kedai yang masih ramai pelanggan akan tetap ada pelanggan kerana kedai tersebut masih ada something yang other platforms x offer.

Sebagai contoh, kedai makan korea yang sentiasa ada ramai orang x akan kekurangan pelanggan kerana mereka still ada fan base yang akan tetap datang untuk makan makanan Korea because you cannot easily get it online (as for now). Sebab itulah, faktor permintaan juga memainkan perana yang sangat penting apabila kita ingin membuka sesuatu perniagaan. Jika tidak, memang boleh bangkrap perniagaan tu dan akhirnya tak boleh "sustain".

The only few shops that I think that has the potential to attract customers would be It shops that sell smartphones, Korean/Japanese restaurants that have their massive fanbase and apparels shops that have customers craving to buy their brands (like H&M, Padini and Uniqlo) because they are apparent in our lives no matter where we go, well at least, in Malaysia. Pergilah mana-mana mesti ada kedai macam tu. 

That is clearly the case.

p/s: Even America suffers losses from malls that had to be closed due to under-performing sales and visitors and all of this could be attributed to the influence of Amazon and other e-commerce websites that change the customers' behaviors to buy things online rather than going to the shop.

Early Harvest Conundrum

Hello and just a quick update. I am not sure whether the sponsors still of the Early Harvest Programme or not because I could not find any info online.

As such, I would deem that for 2019, no early harvest are offered.

It is the end of the year

I cannot write that much due to time constrain, but I will try to amend my blogpost from time to time. To sum it up, my family and I went for umrah in November. It was quite interesting and heart-touching at the same time, and insya-allah, we hope to come again in the future (hopefully, by that time, I am already married). More pictures will be followed.

At the same time, SPM has started. So I guess, all candidates should focus solely on their papers and after completing their exams, they should search all possible scholarships that are available online. I am pretty sure this batch competition in getting scholarships is tougher than ever.

I have also made another websites, catered solely for the purpose of scholarships information. Hoefully, it will be rolled out by February next year.

And obviously, I make it a habit to have as many social medias and apps as possible so that I will not miss out on important things and events, be it family or friends-related or career-wise or even current global and local events happening worldwide.

I hope I can enter more essays in the future so that I can explore more things that I never expected before and obviously the rewards that you can gain later on in life.

Also, I make it habit to read during my leisure and work times so that I will not waste any single moment of my life.

Lastly, to a brighter future in 2019 !!!

P/s: I also watch Netflix and listen to music playlists in Spotify and Joox so that I will be inspired and aspire to be better in the future.

Aseania Resort and Spa, Langkwi

This time around, aku nak cerita mengenai hotel ASEANIA RESORT AND SPA yang terletak di Pantai Chenang, Langkawi.

Actually, hotel dia in general tak adalah teruk sangat, cumanya dia macam hotel yang jenis old-school dan not always maintained. That's why nampak macam hotel lama dan buruk.

Tapi, dari segi layanan ke pelanggan, memang top notch.

Breakfast agak banyak pilihan and most interestingly. ada malam pertunjukkan kebudayaan yang akan berlangsung setiap minggu. Memang sangat menarik dan membuatkan rasa untuk terus menginap di hotel ni.

Kolam renang? Sudah semestinya sangat awesome sebab kolam dia sangat luas dan berkolam-kolam. Dari kolam ombak, kolam kanak, ke kolam dewasa, semuanya ada untuk sesiapa yang minat berenang dan bermain dengan air.

Pendek kata, walaupun hotel ni hanya 4 bintang, tapi terasa seperti menginap di hotel lima bintang gitu.

Dari segi lokasi menarik, well, semuanya within walking distance. Dari Underwater World Langkawi, Chenang Mall ke segala jenis tempat makan sepanjang jalan Pantai Chenang. You name it.

Kalau ada yang jenis nak datang ke Langkawi untuk spend 2-3 hari di sana, aku akan semestinya recommend Aseania Resort and Spa as one of the top choice for accomodation.

Worst Encounter and Rude Awakening

Readers.

Hari Raya Haji was few days ago and as usual, I went to my hometown in Kelantan. However, there was one particular thing that really put me off the mood. A photography shop in Kelantan was just pure rude and its staff had no manners at all. You marked up a price that is beyond reasonable for a piece of photograph that doesn't hold such value due to many glitches in the said photo.

Huh, I am hoping that more people realize that these kind of sellers are actually making fool of the customers prodding enough money from their wallets. I know that you are the sole official photographer for the royal family, but don't simply presume that you can put a price that are not worth at all with such quality.

As a result, I had posted a review on the shop, hoping the people realize that, in these days, there are still people who are not doing their business with etiquette and honor, instead they only focus on money, money, money.

Please, do improve your service in the future.

Making a biography of my officemates

Right now, I am planning to gather as much info as possible to make a biography regarding my work life at my department. Being in my first posting, I am currently in the process of making a short description of my colleagues. Well, it is not going to be easy as some of them have started working like even before I was born, and most of my other workmates are working outside of my office. Nonetheless, I will always gather those inputs so that in 20-30 years down the road, I will have a comprehensive stories of the employee of this department. I shall produce it by 2052.

Occasionally, I will post on this blog also as to exhibit the progress of my work as far. 

Also, I will try to digitize all old pictures that are available at the office.

p/s: Consider this as one of my contributions to the department in the future.

My Lorong Story

It used to be a lot of amazing people in our street. There were banker, KCS's, Army and scholars. I believe most of them were English-educated at Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid.

Let me just state a few names to begin with.

5. Pak Cik Suhaimi (only knew him for a short while before going to Sabah) and family

To all my new fresh graduates / final year students connections on Blogspot/Fb/Insta/Twitter/LinkedIn and others, thank you for connecting and coming across with this blog! I assumed a lot of you found me by searching on Google for blogs that are related to jobs, be it in Malaysia or overseas, private or public sectors.

I’m thinking that maybe some (or many) of you need a guidance in preparing yourself for an interview, someone to look over your resume/CV, someone to help figure out which job may be suitable for you, etc. I’m not a career counsellor. But I’m more than happy to share my experiences with you if you think that talking to an outsider will be helpful and beneficial for you. I’m pretty much free this August on weekdays, and

I’m wondering if any of you here are interested to meet up (casually, of course), over coffee or lunch and talk about either your career / education aspirations. Venue/meet up would be around Kedah area for now, anywhere accessible with public transportation to make it easier for people. We can also meet up in a group to make it more interesting and fun :)

If it is just too difficult to meet physically, maybe we can just utilize Skype,Google Hangouts,Facetime and other VOIP apps to communicate.

Summer as in annual seasons

I have this tendency of escaping from the cold breeze of the air-conditioner. The reason is plain simple; I despise to sit still for a long time directly under a ceiling air-conditioner which is set regularly at 24 Celsius or even lower. At one particular time, I have the urge to just switch off the evil air-conditioner as I could not simply hold myself of being stuck in such cold room.

Thus, I keep thinking of its solutions. What are the steps that should be done? It can only be resolved by setting the air-conditioner to fan modes and the occasionally switching on and off its power. Or, I could just put on my sweater or jumper to keep me warm for the entire office hour.

Work 3.0

Finally, after almost two years. I was confirmed as a employee in this organization. Now, it is time to move to another phase of life.

At the same time, I have lots of work to be done, and some essay competitions to catch up with. Hopefully, I could win the competition in order to buy an Ipad or an Iphone in the future.

Work 1.0

To be frank, there were many people that I have met within this pattern one year and half after I started working.

I shall be describing one by one in an arranged order.

I could still remember the very first day I entered into the office. It was FAF who greeted me first. Which later I did all the necessary procedures to give all the documents as required.

And on the very first day, I was escorted or should I say went for my first trip ever to Kuala Nerang.

It was also the day when the car we were riding got punctured along the way to the location.

And of course along the way there 11-20 more officers which I have met either from the office or outside the office.

I also went to several meetings and courses which I had met with other people.

And of course, there were people who left the premise for this past few months, namely our KP, TKP Ops Dr Vij, Ppo En Mus, En Fat, En Azih, En Mus, Eo saiful, Madam Chong, Tn Zainon
Tn Abdul San and others which I would write from time to time.

Kursus Asas Geowarisan

For me, it is quite an interesting course as it taught me a lot of things that are directly or indirectly related to Geowarisan.

Actually, there are many courses which I have previously attended but never have the chance to blog about it.

Work 2.1

There is one thing that will never stop going around. Work.

Until one retires,this vicious cycle shall continue for each day.

However, in this context, I am planning to make myself clear that there are problems related with work itself.
